The Davis Companies signs 10 year lease with Jackson Kelly PLLC in the Union Trust building
ITTSBURGH, PA — The Davis Companies has signed a 10-year lease with national law firm Jackson Kelly PLL C in the Union Trust Building located at 501 Grant St. in Pittsburgh. Jason Stewart and Jackie Bezek of JLL represented The Davis Companies in this transaction. Jackson Kelly’s Pittsburgh office will join other prestigious firms which have located in the building, including Pepper Hamilton, Blank Rome, Frost Brown Todd, Marshall Den- nehey, Buchanan Ingersoll P
& Rooney, TrueFit, Carnegie Learning and First Common- wealth Bank. The Davis Com- panies is particularly excited about this transaction, as the law firm will be occupying over 12,000 RSF of the unique and dynamic two story quad space on the 10th and 11th floors of the building. Inspired by the ambitious $100 million historic renova- tion of the Union Trust Build- ing, Jackson Kelly began the creative design process to join as a tenant in this iconic and award winning architectural gem. The building has garnered
multiple awards for design and restoration including, most re- cently, earning top honors from The International Interior De- sign Association in February. Through the renovation pro- cess, the Davis Companies redefined 501 Grant’s future as a 21st century, LEED certified, mixed use retail/office complex with state-of-the-art amenities, including a 5,000 s/f fitness cen- ter, 80 seat conference center, 350 seat theater, underground parking garage and 28 original Pittsburgh-inspired works of art. The building is home to a diverse mix of flourishing, well- known tech, corporate, law, and retail companies, contributing to Mellon Square’s vitality as a business destination in Pittsburgh. Jackson Kelly plans to move into The Union Trust Build- ing in the fall of 2019. “We are excited to make this transition and look forward to working with The Davis Companies throughout the upcoming reno- vation of our office space,” said Michael Leahey , Jackson Kelly’s assistant managing member, who practices in the Pittsburgh office. “The unique quad space offers a different work environment, incorporat- ing collaboration and technol- ogy that will help us provide innovative legal services to our clients. We are looking forward to this change,” added Ellen Cappellanti , managing mem- ber for Jackson Kelly PLLC. “The Davis Companies looks forward to welcoming the Jack- son Kelly law firm to The Union Trust Building and assisting them in achieving their vision for the space,” said Jonathan Davis , The Davis Companies founder and CEO. “As a former Pittsburgher, I am thrilled to watch Pittsburgh continue to grow and prosper and am thrilled to be part of it with the stunning transformation of the Union Trust Building”. “We are thrilled for Jackson Kelly who will relocate this fall to one of the most stunning, two story penthouse spaces anywhere. The smart design of this space and striking finishes by Avon Graf Architects will complement the iconic Union Trust Building which has been beautifully restored by The Davis Companies and will serve Jackson Kelly well in retaining and attracting top talent,” said Carrie Holstead , CEO of Carrie Holstead Real Estate Consultants Inc.
