as a way to attract the next generation of environmental and brownfield professionals. Tiesha Green and MariCate Conlon are helping us and dragging some of the more “seasoned” professionals into the modern age! What was the most defin- ing moment for you in the profession you are cur- rently in? NJSWEP awarded me the “Growing Great Women in the Garden State” Award this year, which joins my Philadelphia SWEP Touchstone Award from about 9 years ago. I may be the only person to receive the awards from both chapters of SWEP. I’m not sure. I am sure that all of the recipients of each chapter’s award are amazing women and it is an honor to be in their company. Do you feel being awoman is an advantage, disadvan- tage or no advantage in to- day’s business world? Why? Why not? I was just invited to moderate the “Women in Brownfields” session being held for the first time in December, 2019 at the National Brownfield Confer- ence, so I’m feeling very strong- ly that being a woman in that field is an advantage! What has been a great advantage is building a strong network of women professional colleagues and friends: I can rely on them to always get the job done and I know I’m going to have an amazing time working beside them. What is the funniest, most unique situation you have faced/conquered during your business career? I was hung in effigy next to a giant tombstone with my name and a skull and crossbones on it on the side of a major interstate highway early in my career. I have the photo to prove it! I wasn’t alone: there were 11 of us treated the same way; we like to think it was because we were doing our job and the process was working. Then, and now, it is a semi-twisted badge of honor: because, how many people can say that happened to them? 
