job in my career. He has since been a mentor, role model and friend to me. What were some of your ear- ly goals and did anything happen to change them? A pretty common early goal coming out of college was to earn a paycheck. As it tends to happen in brokerage, my entry into the business took 18-24 months to really take flight. I couldn’t be happier I stuck with it. Nothing has changed my goal of earning a nice paycheck, but I love the unlimited upside and am proud of the success my hard work has yielded. What unique qualities and or personality traits do you feel makes you most suc- cessful in your profession? I try think in a way that there are no set rules to the game aside from being honest and do- ing right by people -- anything can happen. You cannot be in- timidated by anyone and need to act just as calm, cool and collected on the biggest deal as you are on the smallest ones. What challenges and or obstacles do you feel you needed to overcome to be- come as successful as you are today? It’s all pretty simple; just keep a level head, out-work all of your competition, and most importantly, have fun while you’re doing it. What was the most defining moment for you? Realizing that hard work most definitely pays off, and if you enjoy what you do, you are never really working… Who do you feel was most influential in your life, and when choosing this profes- sion? Most influential people in my life were definitely my parents and my father who taught me the ins and outs of business. From when I was a little kid, I remember him going over all his bank statements, finances, stocks, etc. with me, and explaining what every- thing cost, how he was making/ losing money, and why. I tried to act like I understood, and apparently I was learning a lot more than I realized because I still remember a lot of what he said and still use it in life and my career to this day. What outside activities do you enjoy during your free time? Acting like I am Tiger Woods on the golf course, when in reality the best part of my game is the outfit I wear….

profession you are in today? It was the summer after my sophomore year of college while I was home for break and recognizedMichael Salove (founder and CEO of MSC Re- tail) in our local gym. I went up to him and struck a conversa- tion. I knew then and there what I wanted to do when I graduated and persistently stayed on him for the next few years of college. I then went into his office with my diploma and asked him when do you want me to start. I had one interview, if you even call it that, and it’s been my only

I think every deal I make is great, but I’ll tell you the “greatest” when I retire in 50 years. What is your most notable project, deal or transaction? Approaching a global super market chain and brokering the purchase of a competitor’s portfolio; the deal was valued over $200,000,000 with a total square footage of +/- 1,500,000 s/f. career? I’m not a huge social media guy but networking is the key to any and all of my success. as they say, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Get- ting out there and networking, particularly in circles outside
