Amada is Chef Garces’s iconic first restaurant. The gorgeous rustic-chic restaurant and bar embraces the rich traditions of Spanish gastronomy while incorporating avant-garde cooking techniques. The kitchen turns out a menu that encourages guests to mix and share multiple dishes, whether enjoying drinks and snacks or indulging in a full meal. A signature La Mesa de Jose tasting menu is also available, including a selection of Chef Garces’s favorite tapas, all portioned appropriately for the number of diners at the table. Create your own personalized menu of authentic, Andalusian-style tapas, paired with Spanish wine or sangría, of Chef Garces’s signature Suckling Pig, carved tableside. JG Domestic is a contemporary American restaurant serving artisanal food crafted from the finest available domestic ingredients. The menu changes frequently as new products come into season, and nearly always includes products such as produce, honey, eggs or herbs from Chef Garces’s environmentally sound Luna Farm in nearby Bucks County. The restaurant features a “living wall” of herbs, plants and greenery that reflects the Chef’s worthy mission: serving top domestic products in one of Philadelphia’s most beautiful and welcoming settings. Volvér offers two distinct experiences: sparkling wine, caviar and small plates in the graciously appointed lounge (Bar Volvér), and a decadent multi-course chef’s tasting in the intimate dining room. The Olde Bar, located in Philadelphia’s landmark Old Original Book- binder’s, is a contemporary oyster bar and cocktail lounge steeped in the city’s nautical and culinary traditions. Serving oysters on the half shell, alongside a smart menu of modern reimaginings of traditional bar snacks and a comprehensive cocktail and spirit list, The Olde Bar is at once a tribute to the city’s storied past and an updated version of one of our most beloved dining spaces. We’re paying homage to the original traditions that made Bookbinder’s a landmark in Philadelphia. It’s an important responsibility to live up to the history of the building and the expectations for the space. Distrito is a lively celebration of the culture and cuisine of Mexico City with a menu focused on the cuisine of what is known by locals as the “Distrito Federal” (D.F.). Chef Garces adds his twist to the D.F., offering over 100 tequilas and putting his touch on modern Mexican small plates. FromTaco Tuesday specials to brunch, there’s something on the menu to please any taste. Whether for dinner for four in a real VW Beetle, a fun gathering of old friends in your own private karaoke lounge, or a sit-down dinner for 140 reserving the entire second floor, Distrito is a vibrant choice with lots of options. Styled in shocking pinks and greens, the restaurant features more than 600 hanging masks of Mexico’s lucha libre, making Distrito a lively backdrop for any occasion.
