• The overhaul of the region’s major highways, Routes 22 and 33, and Interstate 78, has pro- vided more efficient methods of transportation for big box distributors and has become the backbone of the region’s commerce. • Local and New Jersey housing developers have built hundreds of single and multi- family units in the Lehigh Valley in the past few years, taking advantage of the op- portunities provided by the vast amounts of farmland.
