PA and Cherry Hill, NJ, re- cently completed two speak- ing engagements. Stein rep- resents real estate owners and developers in land use, transactional, financing and real estate litigation matters. Stein participated as a mod- erator and speaker at the 2nd Annual PA Office and Indus- trial Development Conference, presented by the MidAtlantic It’s no secret that healthcare facilities usually do not pro- vide all the comforts of home. Hospitals are now changing their focus to provide more hotel-like accommodations for their patients. Providers are pushing for more single rooms, offering more privacy, more space for telehealth technolo- gies and better arrangements for loved ones. These ameni- ties have very practical health benefits according to the New York Times, including reduced stress and anxiety. Research also shows that private hospi- tal rooms can cut down on the transfer of disease. Health systems are also mak- ing enhancements outside of patient rooms, such as waiting rooms, cafeterias and com- mon spaces. Advancements in green technology and energy efficiency have helped hospitals to reduce noise pollution and improve air quality, which is beneficial for both patients and the surrounding community. I’m excited to see how the industry will continue to evolve and look forward to seeing how these designs will improve to meet these market condi- tions over time. The future of healthcare is bright, and I feel privileged to help make the accommodations necessary to improve the overall hospital experience for all – providers, patients and families.
