Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in:

Sarah Finney-Miller Vice President NAI Summit, Years in Field: 3 years Years in Real Estate Industry: 9 Real Estate Organizations / Affiliations: CREW Network

Staci Saeger Director of Marketing

I first entered commer- cial real estate when I was hired for marketing at NAI Summit, a full service commercial and industrial real estate firm in the Le- high Valley. From there, I truly grew a passion for the industry. Wanting to expand my skill set in Real Estate, I continued my education and received my real estate license in 2016. What is your current position? Director of Marketing Why did you choose the field/profession you are in today? I choose this profession every day because of the impact each and every deal has on the community. How we have the ability to shape and enhance the area around us. In addition, I really love to problem solve, to be a part of strategic planning and to work on a variety of different projects at once. One morning I could be on the hunt to fill office space and by the afternoon I am working on identifying what developers would be interested in our available land. It always keeps things exciting and interesting. How do you manage the work/life balance? Managing work/life balance is always tough, especially in an industry that doesn’t stop and that time is of the essence in some cases. Planning ahead is my best tactic on staying ahead of my work without missing out on the im- portant things in my personal life. Staying organized and managing my time appropriately ensures that nothing falls through the cracks, professionally and personally. Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career? The strongest influence on my career was the late John Crampsie, who was previously one of two owners of NAI Summit. He was the person I reported directly to for my first five years at Summit. Not only did he teach me the in- dustry, but he was a mentor for me in life. He truly listened and took the time to help, walking you through every detail and explaining why it mattered. He taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, friendship, the business world, real estate, and lessons for within myself that I will always remember, cherish and use every day. His dedication to his work and his community has always inspired me. John Crampsie and the difference he made through volunteering was a big part of the reason why I became more involved in my community organizations as well.  NAI Summit Years in field: 6 Years in real estate industry: 6 Real estate organizations / affiliations: NAI Summit, NAI Global

and Director of Real Estate. In 2015 I was recruited by NAI Summit to be a part of their dynamic commercial real estate sales team where I focus primar- ily in Asset Disposition and Landlord/Tenant Representation of Office and Flex Space. Having started in Property Management, the ability to understand both sides of each scenario from an Owner/Tenant perspective has been significant in facilitating a transaction from inception to completion. What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2018 thus far? One of my most recent notable projects was a distressed asset in the Scranton area. I represented the Bank who foreclosed on a project from the original devel- oper, where the building at the time was less than 50% occupied with more leases soon to expire. I quickly rolled up my sleeves and got to work on renegotiating and extending the lease terms with all existing tenants as well as attracting new tenants. I am proud to say that I was successful in getting all the tenants renewed as well as leased an additional 13,000 s/f of space to new tenants. At this point, the property was stabilized enough to take out to the market for Sale in which I successfully closed for the Bank in June 2018. Because of our great working relationship all around, the investor who purchased the asset from the bank then retained our firm for the continuation of property management and leasing after settlement. This was a monumental transaction for my career as I was able to take a difficult assignment and distressed asset and was able to suc- cessfully reposition it into an attractive investment for new tenants and buyers. What unique qualities and or personality trait do you feel makes you most successful in your profession? The key qualities that have attributed the most to my success have simply remained to be honesty, sincerity and follow through on your promises and commitments. 
