professionals involved in environmental remediation in the NJ and students pursuing an education in a discipline related to environmental remediation. We are the professionals that have cleaned up over 12,000 properties in NJ, allowing them to get back on the tax roles as safe locations for redevelopment of all types. Why did you choose the field/profession you are in today? I transitioned from a career in state government to a consulting career with GEI Consultants, Inc. I was involved in several brownfield cleanup and redevelopment projects and other brownfield activities with GEI professionals in NJ and CT. They knew my background and expertise and welcomed me to join them and pursue some “untraditional” clients for an engineering and science firm. Representing three non-profit brownfield and site cleanup professional association clients is work that I thrive on and GEI has been great about embracing that activity. What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2018? For the 2nd consecutive year, the LSRPA is one of the top 20 Business and Profes- sional Associations In NJ. We have grown each year and represent over 70% of all license holders in the state, as well as associate members who work in supporting professions. The LSRPA Board and Steering Committee members are amazing volunteers who have given so much of their time to growing the Association, providing quality continuing professional education, and working tirelessly on NJDEP technical stakeholder groups to create the best and most realistic state program possible. What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2018? In January 2018, the LSRPA held a hugely successful two-day NJ Site Remedia- tion Conference (NJSRC), offering a dozen+ continuing education courses, guest speakers, great networking with over 45 sponsors and our annual membership meeting. The volunteer committee did incredible work in 2018 and is coming back in 2019: the NJSRC was so successful, we are holding the 2nd Annual NJSRC in January 2019, the same year as the 10th anniversary of the Associa- tion.
