The leisure lanes will be shared with swim lessons during lesson times. Amenities include: • Universal & gendered change areas with private and shared showers, and free lockers. • Leisure pool with 25 m lanes, lazy river, spray features, tot zone and gradual entry. Adjacent family hot tub, adult hot tub, steam room and sauna. • Lap pool with 25 m lanes, 1 & 3 m diving boards, 5 m diving platform, and adjustable height floor. • Lifts and water wheelchairs are available, please call for more information. 50 Metre Swim Swim 50 m lengths in the lap pool. Deep end and diving boards are open. Wibit Inflatable Play on an inflatable obstacle course set up in the deep end. Improve cardio and strength in low to zero impact shallow or deep water exercise. Shallow Aqua Zumba includes upbeat music and offers a high-energy, low-impact workout. Floatation belts are provided for deep water classes. Youth 13 - 14 years may participate if accompanied by an adult 19+ years who is also participating in the class. Pool Etiquette 25 m length swim and shallow end are open. Deep & Shallow Aquafit (13+ years) • Everyone must shower with soap before entering the water. • Showers are available on-deck and in all change areas. Soap is provided. Learn more at newwestcity.ca/keep-it-fresh • No food is permitted in the pool or change area. • No outside shoes are permitted on the pool deck. • Strollers are permitted in the universal change area or in the viewing area, accessible from the lobby. • Children 6 years and under must be accompanied in the water by a capable swimmer 15+ years. Out-of-water supervision of participants is permitted at no cost for children 7+ years. Maximum 2 children per caregiver. • 3 metre diving board and 5 metre diving platform users must be 7+ years. 1 metre diving board users 6 years and under must have a caregiver in the water. • Lanes are for length swimming and water running only. Share lanes with other participants, swimming at a similar pace, and swimming on the right side of lane. • Adult hot tub, steam room, and sauna users must be 15+ years. Water bottles must remain outside.

Cycle, Cycle Express & Youth Cycle Express Experience a non-impact cardio workout including a variety of indoor cycling intervals and drills. Youth Cycle Express is for youth 13 - 18 years. Cycle & Strength Combines indoor cycling with body conditioning and core training exercises, using dumbbells and tubing. Functional Strength This class offers Functional training to live with confidence and independence. Complete your daily tasks with ease knowing you have practiced safe and correct movements. Gentle Yoga & Meditation Move through gentle, easy-on-your-body, yoga poses, followed by a guided meditation. Suitable for beginners and seniors. Get up & Go Practice mindful movements for better balance, reaction/ response and strengthen your physical awareness
Hatha Yoga & Hatha Core Postures and stretches with breath work to encourage alignment, improve balance, increase strength and help calm the mind and body. Yin Yoga includes longer held postures with focus on deepening flexibility. Hip Hop Fitness Heighten energy with Hip Hop choreography, fitness, and fun. HITT - High Intensity Interval Training Maximize endorphin levels in a total-body, cardio and strength workout with each intense interval followed by a recovery interval. Safe and gentle exercises for individuals with minimal previous exercise experience. Pilates Improve flexibility, strength, endurance, concentration, breathing, and overall core strength, with a precise system of exercises. SHiNE Dance Fitness Escape from daily stress with original routines, hit, music, and choreography for all abilities. Each class includes the perfect balance of high cardio and toning to ensure a full body workout.
Strength & Stretch Increase endurance in all major muscle groups using bands, weights, and chair exercises to build muscle tone and help improve bone density. Stretch Full body stretches promote flexibility, mobility, and relaxation. Guided by an experienced instructor. Zumba, Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold Boost energy with a total body workout incorporating all fitness components-cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility! Mix low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning, dance fitness party. Zumba Toning incorporates light weights to add a strengthening element. Adult Hockey (18+ years) Keep your skills sharp and body tuned! Staff do not supervise this session and players organize and play their own games. Session are limited to 18 players and 2 goalies. Full gear is recommended. 50+ Skate Register to enjoy lap skating. Limited spots are available. Hockey sticks and figure skating are not permitted at this session. Figure Skating (All ages) Practice figure skating on open ice. Space is limited, registration is required. No personal music will be permitted. Stick, Ring & Puck (All ages) Participants must have their own stick and puck or ring. CSA approved helmet must be worn. Participants 18 and under must wear a facecage and 19+, a facecage is recommended. Staff will monitor to ensure that level of play is safe for all abilities. No goalies, scrimmages or slap shots will be permitted. Children 7 years and under must have a guardian (16+) on the ice. Space is limited.
Enjoy skating with friends and family. Staff are on site to assist with skating aids as well as give tips to new skaters. Hockey sticks and figure skating are not permitted. Queen’s Park Arena public skates are not staffed and do not have rentals available. Adult Skate (18+ years) Enjoy lap skating with friends. Hockey sticks and figure skating are not permitted during this session. Family Skate (All Ages) Families have fun free skating and playing games organized by staff. An adult must accompany all children during the session. No hockey sticks or figure skating. Stick & Puck (18+ years) Work on your skating skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. All participants must wear a helmet, gloves, and bring a hockey stick. No goalies, scrimmages, slap shots, or formal instruction. This session is designed to be slower paced.

Badminton (16+ years) , Badminton Family (5+ years) A fun game for all ages and skill levels. Please bring your own racket and birdies. Ball Hockey A game similar to ice hockey but played on foot on a hard surface without ice. All levels welcome. Basketball (16+ years) Play friendly games of basketball in the gymnasium! Please be mindful that some time slots are for participants 50+ year only. Sports - Children (5 - 12 years) Staff host various sports during this recreational sessions geared towards Grade 5 and Grade 6 students. Grade 5 and Grade 6 students are eligible for a free ActivePass, see newwestcity.ca/activepass .
Pickleball (16+ years) , Pickleball Family (5+ years) A hybrid of badminton, tennis and table tennis played with paddles and a perforated ball. This fun, low-impact sport is enjoyed by players of all levels and is an excellent aerobic exercise. Please bring your own paddle and balls. Indoor Soccer (16+ years) The world’s most popular sport! Join us for some friendly, recreational matches. Table Tennis (16+ years) Get active and socialize playing this fun sport! Please bring your own paddle. Volleyball (16+ years) Volley, bump, and pass in recreational matches. Participants of all skill levels welcome.
