Indoor Cycling • Register online at newwestcity.ca/indoor-cycling or call any Parks and Recreation facility • Reservation opens at 10:00 am, 72 hours in advance for New Westminster residents, and 48 hours in advance for everyone. • Registration closes 30 minutes before the start of the class. • Arrive no more than 5 - 10 minutes early. No class admittance once the class has started. • Cancellation requires 24 hour notice. • No-shows will be tracked and failure to cancel may result in revoked privileges. Cycle, Cycle Express & Youth Cycle Express Experience a non-impact cardio workout including a variety of indoor cycling intervals and drills. Youth Cycle Express is for youth 13 - 18 years. Cycle & Strength Combines indoor cycling with body conditioning and core training exercises, using dumbbells and tubing. Functional Strength This class offers Functional training to live with confidence and independence. Complete your daily tasks with ease knowing you have practiced safe and correct movements. Gentle Yoga & Meditation Move through gentle, easy-on-your-body, yoga poses, followed by a guided meditation. Suitable for beginners and seniors. Get up & Go Practice mindful movements for better balance, reaction/ response and strengthen your physical awareness
Hatha Yoga & Hatha Core Postures and stretches with breath work to encourage alignment, improve balance, increase strength and help calm the mind and body. Yin Yoga includes longer held postures with focus on deepening flexibility. Hip Hop Fitness Heighten energy with Hip Hop choreography, fitness, and fun. HITT - High Intensity Interval Training Maximize endorphin levels in a total-body, cardio and strength workout with each intense interval followed by a recovery interval. Use of different equipment such as dumbbells. All fitness levels welcome. Interval Training Alternate cardio and strength interval drills to improve strength and endurance. Followed by a relaxing stretch. Iyengar Yoga Learn basic actions in asanas, develop strength, flexibility, awareness and confidence. For beginners and seasoned students seeking to focus on fundamentals. Props are optional if brought. Mild Exercise (50+ years) Breathe, stretch, and balance with chair exercises and gentle aerobic walking. Tips on healthy living, osteoporosis, arthritis, and fall prevention. Mild Toning (50+ years) Increase endurance in all major muscle groups using bands, weights, and chair exercises to build muscle tone and help improve bone density Mind & Body Yoga & Mindful Yoga A balance between mindfulness and body connection, strength building and relaxation. All fitness levels and experience levels welcome. Moderate Workout (50+ years) Enjoy a stimulating aerobics class with familiar music. Improve heart health, agility, and reflexes. Classes include a low impact option.
