Scarsdale Adult School Catalog Spring/Summer 2024

Disagree with Respect Wade into the complicated and difficult topic of interacting with others when we disagree with them. Using textual examples, discuss why people should treat others with respect and how to enter conversations that include trigger-laden issues such as religion, parenting, education, or diversity. Using NPR's show "This I Believe" as a model, find common ground in some core beliefs knowing that the goal is not to persuade others but to encourage respect for beliefs that differ from one’s own. TAMAR (TAMI) ARNOWITZ has a BA from Wellesley College and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She has also studied at Hebrew University and the Conservative Yeshiva and is a certified life coach. She has taught special interest clubs and at synagogues, Jewish community centers, and Camp Ramah in New England. 3 Sessions, starting Wednesday, May 22 • 10:00am-11:00am • Westchester Reform Temple • Course 12588 • $90
