Painting with Pastels Pastels, with their wide range of vibrant hues, offer a fresh way to create paintings filled with color and light. Instruction will begin with the basics of drawing, followed by step-by-step introduction to the use of pastels with attention to style, color and composition. All levels welcome. Oil and Acrylic Painting Learn how to incorporate using a palette knife into your work whether as the sole tool or as needed for adding texture or lines in combination with brushwork. Use enlarged florals as subject matter or work from your own reference. This technique is designed for oil paint but also lends itself to acrylic paint if preferred, and is open to all ability levels. A supply list will be provided before the start date. JACQUELINE DAVIS is an artist, originally from England. Davis headed a high school design and technology department for many years. She has also worked in graphic design and ceramics. For the past ten years, Davis's passion has been oil painting with a strong focus on color and composition. Open Studio Painting for All Levels This beginner/intermediate class will nurture your creativity using the medium of your choice. Devote structured time to explore ideas or learn technique with the guidance of an award-winning artist. Receive assistance in composition, color mixing, and techniques specific to your painting.
