THE DCRC REFRESH — WHAT TO KNOW!
In 2022, Dublin City Council directed $3.1 million of ARPA funds to initiate multiple phases for renovations to the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC). The first initial phase included replacement of the indoor track surface, upgrades to the fitness floor equipment and furnishings and the addition of an outdoor fitness area. City Staff began a comprehensive update of the DCRC Refresh Master Plan to find future phases of renovations identified in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the 2024-2029 Capital Improvements Plan. Staff worked with MSA Design in 2023 to conduct stakeholder meetings and two community engagement meetings to gather public input on what the refresh priorities should be. The City will continue to work with MSA Design through 2024 to combine data and community feedback from the community engagement meetings into a master plan and present the final plan to Dublin City Council. DUBLIN IN THE DARK — THE ECLIPSE
Dublin will be part of a Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024. Ohio is within a one-day drive to 70% of the U.S. population. Dublin is anticipated to see high traffic impacts before and after the eclipse. The City will host family-friendly viewing gatherings with music and entertainment from 1:30-4:30 p.m. in the Coffman Park south fields and at Riverside Crossing Park. If you wish to watch the eclipse in a nearby park, the City encourages you to use more eco-friendly forms of transportation such as walking, biking, or scootering. CELEBRATE EARTH MONTH THIS APRIL!
It’s always Earth Month in Dublin, but we take all of April to celebrate and encourage others to take part through events and #SustainableDublin initiatives. The City challenges you and your family to take part as we share ways to clean up the earth and your home — from waste in waterways to household hazardous waste.
