Beginner & Intermediate Chess Kyle Jones Students learn the rules and concepts of chess, tournament procedures and etiquette and the knowledge to participate in a casual or competitive game with family or friends. This is the perfect class for a new or novice player looking to increase confidence in their game. In the first half of each class, world champion openings, ideas in the middle game, endgame patterns, tactical motifs and elements are examined and discussed. For the remainder of the class, students play against one another in our weekly club tournament. Code Ninjas: Create Code Ninjas Staff Code Ninjas offers an enriching coding experience for kids, fostering the development of valuable coding skills through a

game-based curriculum. In Code Ninjas CREATE, kids have a blast building awesome video games and developing ninja coding skills on the path from white to black belt. Students learn Block Coding basics using a computer program called Make Code Arcade. This allows students to understand the basics of code before they advance to type-coding in JavaScript, which utilizes the actual language of coding. This self-paced program works on a belt system similar to Martial Arts in which participants begin in a white belt and end in a black belt, with the difficulty of coding increasing as they advance from belt to belt.
