The City of Dublin’s natural environment is full of beauty and is a benefit to our community. Join our Nature Docent volunteers to learn about the wonders found in our backyards and how we can protect them. These programs are free to attend with advanced registration. Hands-On Stream Monitor Join our docents at M.L. ‘Red’ Trabue Nature Reserve to walk the stream and assess the water quality with a simple stream habitat assessment and scoring form. Wear closed-toed shoes that can get wet and dress for the outdoor conditions. A parent/guardian is required to accompany children ages 12 and older. Join Ms. Barbara at the DCRC pond for a fun, family evening of fishing! Get up close and hands-on with nature as we practice techniques to catch fish, including how to cast and catch properly. Equipment and supplies are provided; however, families are welcome to bring their own poles. Registration fee is per child participant (families receive one set of materials per registered child).
