AMERICAN RED CROSS COURSES

Mileage Swimming Workout Plan NEW Chris Paolini Are you a fitness swimmer looking to get your mileage in? This program is ideal for fitness swimmers including triathletes, masters and former competitive swimmers. Receive weekly swim workouts from your instructor, which consist of mostly interval workouts that include kicks, pulls, stroke improvement drills and a main set. There are no organized or specific practice times for this class; complete your workout during any open swim time in the DCRC Lap Pool. Choose between 12 and 24 workouts below. Members proceed through check-in with their pass; non-members receive a 12 or 24-punch visit pass upon registering and have one visit deducted upon check-in. Any unused swim passes are forfeited after the session. For individual lane availability, check the schedule posted in the lap pool or online at DublinOhioUSA.gov/recreation-services/aquatics/ indoor-pools/

CPR/AED and First Aid Recreation Services Staff

The purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers with First Aid course is to teach those with a duty to act (professional rescuers and health care providers) the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest. This course also teaches skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. This course follows the strict guidelines of the American Red Cross. Our instructors are required to follow these guidelines at all times. This class is taught as a blended learning course, meaning the participant completes part of the course before attending the first day of class. A link to the online portion of the class is emailed at least one week before class and the estimated completion time is four hours. Proof of completion of the online course must be turned in to Michael Mocsiran (mmocsiran@dublin.oh.us) no later than the first day of class. Refund Policy A cancellation request form must be submitted to the front desk of the DCRC at least 7 business days before the first day of the class, for a refund of fees paid minus a $15 administrative fee. No refunds will be processed after this time. Failure to attend the class in its entirety, demonstrate competency in skills, or failure to complete online learning information before arriving at the in-person session will result in forfeiture of class fees and certification will not be granted. If you have any questions before class, please contact Michael Mocsiran at 614.410.4556 or mmocsiran@ dublin.oh.us. By registering for this course, you have reviewed the policies and accept these terms.
