PUMPKIN COMPOSTING
Keep your pumpkins out of the landfill — toss them in the Pumpkin Compost Bin! Pitch your gourds at the Service Center (6555 Shier Rings Road) starting Oct. 16 and continuing through Dec. 8. In 2022, you helped divert 67,680 pounds of pumpkins and other gourds out of the landfill. Please note that pumpkins cannot be included with your yard waste pick-up as they do not decompose like grass clippings or leaves and are therefore not accepted by yard waste processing facilities.
