2020Graduation Ceremonies
The 2020 Graduation ceremonies were unprecedented in that they were postponed to January 2021 and held in virtual and blended celebrations, in accordance with COVID-19 protocols. The series of 11 ceremonies were broadcast live on UWI tv ’s cable channels on Flow EVO, website, Facebook and YouTube.
An estimated 8,500 graduands had their degrees conferred upon them virtually by Chancellor, Robert Bermudez while Chairs of the Campus Councils presided over the ceremonies in their respective territories. Retaining its tradition of recognising Caribbean excellence through the conferral of honorary degrees, The UWI also celebrated 14 persons for their outstanding contributions to regional and international development.
