The Alleynian 711 2023

Cadets across all sections continue to look forward to trips such as the shooting weekend, Self-Reliance and Summer Camp, which this year looks to be a highlight as cadets will visit Normandy to see the D-Day Landing sites as well as the drop zones of 16 th Air Assault Brigade. RAF This has been the first year post-Covid where regular scheduled flying trips for cadets could resume, and it has been great for them to take to the air again at RAF Benson, learning the basic controls of the Grob Tutor and being taken through aerobatic manoeuvres by experi- enced instructors.

Conclusion Overall, despite some setbacks, the CCF has flourished this year. This is in no small part due to the commitment and dedication of our officers, whose tireless efforts do not go unnoticed. Their work allows us to enjoy the wide range of opportunities and experiences that being a member of the CCF affords pupils attending Dulwich and JAGS. Thank you. ◎
