MONACO COMMITTED TO RESPONSIBLE EVENTS

as the Monaco Ocean Week. ose events promote exchanges between scientists, key decision-makers, NGOs, the private sector andcivil society toaccelerate thecreationand adoption of sustainable solutions, as well as synergies between marine conservation and socio-economic development. Initiatives to have emerged include Beyond Plastic Med (BeMed) to combat marine pollution and plastic in the oceans. GREEN MOBILITY One of Monaco’s big advantages for events is its size of 2 sqkm and therefore its walkability, with major venues and hotels in close proximity. In addition, there is also a range of green transport options from public buses powered by Diester, electric bikes managed by Monabike, Mobee, the 100 per cent electric car-sharing service, and even an electric and solar-powered water bus. From protected marine environments to renewable energies, the Principality continues to surprise its visitors and help event organisers looking to support sustainable initiatives.
