Set within a stunning countryside location, the bespoke property consists of a ‘main house’ and ‘leisure wing’ housing state of the art facilities including a pool with a hydraulically adjustable pool depth. Pegasus Group designed everything from the engineered pocket door housing the large 4m glazed panes spanning 12m in length overall, down to the refined joinery to complement the top of the range kitchen. The project is currently under construction and built using modern building techniques involving insulated concrete forms (ICF blocks) that create high levels of insulation similar to those within passive house standards.

RESIDENTIAL Castle Farm Barn Conversion.
Pegasus Group Design and Heritage teams were instructed to convert the listed building into living accommodation.
Castle Farm is a Grade II Listed Farmhouse with barns dating from the early 19th century built in traditional local materials of stone and clay pantiles. The barns comprised a former threshing barn and attached stabling but had fallen into disuse. Pegasus Group were instructed to gain Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent to convert part of the barns to a dwelling together with an extension to provide suitable kitchen and dining accommodation.
The design of the conversion was based on a thorough understanding of the structure and significance of the building. We took inspiration from traditional farm architecture and best practice guidance with pinned back doors, timber and glass partitions to reflect hit and miss ventilators, and an extension to appear as an attached cart shed. The design suitably retained its agricultural heritage whilst bringing the barns into a new use for the 21st century.

Citygate, Bradford.
Bradford Gateway Scheme, Manchester Road, West Yorkshire
The proposed development obtained consent for a total of 6no. buildings containing 575 residential apartments (comprising no. 329 one bed units, no. 216 two bed units and no. 30 three bed units), 1 commercial unit, 85 car parking spaces, cycle parking, and associated landscaping and public open space. The concept for the landscape proposals is directly linked to the existing green corridor forming the Sustrans Cycle Route 66 along the western boundary of the site. This route forms a very pleasant pedestrian route from the surrounding residential areas to and from the city centre. The form and detailing of this pathway is repeated, weaving through the site to provide connectivity between the proposed buildings and the surrounding built form. The remaining space between the buildings is designed to be as green and soft as possible. Semi-private space related to each building is provided for residents to enjoy and to promote interaction.
32 PEGASUS GROUP
The central section of the buildings have bands that take reference from the older buildings in Bradford. The brick or artifical stone work to have a mix of subtle patterns making reference to the brick/stone detailing through the city but give a distinct character to the building. The plan is to make this detail very subtle to give variation to the perimeter buildings.

We have produced bespoke housetype designs, developed the site layout plans and landscaping to include ecological enhancements which achieves the objectives for the application site.
Our teams worked closely alongside an ecologist and arboricultural consultant to ensure the dwellings could be accommodated on-site in a sensitive manner, working closely with the local planning authority and consultees to ensure the development was supported.
Plot 11 was designed specifically for our client. The dwellings provides 10,000sqft of accommodation. Five large bedrooms and a generous living area that includes a swimming pool and games room. The slope of the site helps create a generous entrance hallway with an ornate stairs to give that ‘wow’ factor as you enter. A classical front provides the look the client desired whilst a more modern treatment to the rear ensures the dwelling connects well with the woodland to the rear.
