During this week-long summer acting camp, Broadway2LA campers perform two Broadway pieces (Play/Monologue) and two Hollywood pieces (Commercial/Film script) in the “Talent Agency/ Casting Director Showcase.” Get ready to walk our famous red carpet with friends, family and industry professionals! The “Friday Night Live Camp” teaches the basics of the art of improvisation in a friendly environment. Each day participants create improvisational pieces (Comedic/ Dramatic TV Show & Commercial) from scratch which are aired on the Broadway2LA YouTube Channel and performed in the “Talent Agency/ Casting Director Showcase.” The showcase is a red carpet event that includes a talent agent/casting director, friends, family and the
Broadway2LA Project Green Light Broadway2LA Experience the lights, camera and rush of being on a professional film set! During “Project Green Light,” each weekday is split between in-class instruction and on-set production. Participants act and direct their own short movies as they discover the rewards and challenges of acting and directing for the camera. At the end of the camp, the films can be shared on social media, used on your demo reel, or kept on a private link and used as an educational experience. Joe Bishara & Jamie Markovich McMahon Do not throw away your shot! Participants collaborate, select, and prepare audition material appropriate to the individual and the audition call. Training includes original choreography rep classes, private acting instruction, private singing instruction and audition insights from industry professionals. A mock audition is conducted utilizing professional directors on June 15. Participants perform their best audition package at a showcase open to the general public on Friday, June 16.
