Family Fire Safety Washington Township Fire Dept. Join the Washington Township Fire Department and learn great ways to keep your family safe! Go through Sparky’s Safety House, practice fire extinguisher usage through simulations, develop fire escape plans and learn what to do if there is a fire in your home. Participants receive a small at-home craft to take with them at the end of the program. Registration fee is per child participant (families receive one set of materials per registered child). Meet some of our backyard wildlife in person! Live wild animal visitors including birds, mammals and reptiles, are featured each month. Learn about some of their amazing adaptations as well as ways we can help wildlife in our own backyards, prevent conflicts and peacefully co-exist. Registration fee is per child participant. Spring Egg-stravaganza Event Recreation Services Staff
Grab your paintbrush, tennis shoes, and swimsuit – get ready for an egg-stravaganza! Travel throughout the DCRC participating in three stations consisting of a collection of floating colorful eggs in the pool, an arts & craft project and a self-led scavenger hunt! Each station lasts 30 minutes with travel time for a total of 90 minutes. Participants receive a prize at the end of the event. Please come dressed to begin in the pool. Children must participate in their assigned age group in order to control the size of the groups. Children 5 years old and older must be accompanied by an adult supervisor; parents must be in the water with children 4 years old and under. Parent participation required.
