Learning life skills through theme-oriented activities, which may include snack preparation, interactive games, arts and crafts and socialization with friends. All are welcome to the Abbey Theater for a family-friendly sensory inclusive movie night! The theater lights are dimmed and the volume is lowered for those with sensory sensitivities. Those who need to get up and move or take a break are welcome to do so. Popcorn is provided! The movie will be determined by vote at least one week prior to the event.
Summer Adaptive Extravaganza Recreation Services Staff
Performers ages 14 & up with special needs work alongside theatre professionals, adaptive staff, and experienced volunteers. Performers have the opportunity to decide on their own individual act and choreography can be adapted to individual needs. A summer-themed performance is held on Tuesday, May 30 with a rain date of June 6 at the Coffman Amphitheater. NOTE: All rehearsals and the performance are outdoors at the Coffman Amphitheater. This area is paved and accessible for wheelchair users, however, it is in an open area near the park and pond. Please consider these factors when determining if this is the right program for you.
