CAPRA NATIONAL ACCREDITATION RECOGNITION AWARD 2010, 2015 & 2021

Our staff is proud to report that the City of Dublin continues to join the ranks of elite park and recreation agencies and departments across the country by earning its reaccreditation status through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). CAPRA accreditation is the only national accreditation for park and recreation agencies, and is a measure of best practices used to achieve overall quality of service to the community. This mark of distinction indicates that the City has met rigorous standards related to the management, planning and administration of public lands, facilities, resources, programs, safety and services.

The City of Dublin Parks and Recreation Department is one of 192 agencies in the country and one of ten agencies in Ohio to receive national accreditation. We achieved reaccreditation in 2021 and distinguished ourselves even further by meeting all 154 standards. To become accredited, agencies must demonstrate their ability to meet all 36 Fundamental Standards and 95% of the non-fundamental standards. We are pleased to exceed the standards for the benefit of our residents and guests.

When traveling to Dublin, Ohio to partake in the famous St. Patrick’s Day Parade, our Leprechaun got lost in a cold, winter storm! When battling the blizzard, he was separated from his Pot of Gold and was lost in the woods. We do not know which of our parks they are in, but following the map of his path from his homeland, we have narrowed it down to three (3); Coffman Park, Indian Run Falls, & Ferris-Wright Park.
