Employees ESRT prioritizes a safe and respectful workplace for our employees and invests in their health and well-being to attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent. Our Chief People Officer and SVP, Director of Energy, Sustainability, and ESG oversee our initiatives in this area and report to the board quarterly on human capital management, talent attraction and retention, benefits, employee engagement, health and safety, and community outreach, among other topics. Our employee engagement efforts are founded on open and honest two-way communication, total employee wellness, and interdepartmental collaboration. We gather corporate and union employee feedback through surveys and communication sessions and integrate this feedback into ESRT policies and practices. We host a variety of events for our employees to foster camaraderie and culture. SURVEYS Each year, we conduct an annual anonymous employee engagement survey through a third-party survey administrator. We also conduct two employee pulse surveys per year to gather additional data and employee feedback. Our HR department performs both internal and external survey data analysis and conducts collaborative meetings to transparently present results, brainstorm ideas, and create actionable plans for improvement. In 2023, 100% of corporate employees and 93% of union employees participated in our annual Employee Engagement Survey. We achieved an overall favorability rate of 85% (versus 81% average for other real estate companies that participate in the survey).
