Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion At ESRT, DEI is every employee’s responsibility. We believe diverse perspectives and experiences from colleagues who have a safe and respectful work environment enhance decision-making and innovation. We disclose U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) diversity data, including race, ethnicity, and gender. We mandate diversity in candidate pools for new hires as well as in bid pools for construction contract awards, prohibit discriminatory practices in the workplace, and educate our employees on the facts and benefits of this approach. Since 2022, our corporate employees have attended DEI workshops focused on unconscious bias. We teach tactical techniques and strategies employees can apply to minimize biases in the workplace and be more inclusive colleagues. We hosted executive visioning workshops on DEI topics for our executive leaders to ensure that we have a productive DEI plan supported with impactful programming. DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION STRATEGY DEI is a component of how we achieve our company goals to lease space, sell observatory tickets, manage our balance sheet, and achieve our sustainability goals, which all create value for our shareholders. Our three-year strategy identifies six areas that we believe will make the most impact:

Safe Spaces for Work Goal: Ensure a safe space at work that allows employees to feel respected, accepted, and valued Example: 360 feedback for all employees bolstered by training on how to give and receive feedback
Communication Goal: Increase two-way communication of DEI initiatives, with feedback loop across all employees Example: Town hall to share ESRT’s three-year strategy and answer questions and distribute follow-up surveys geared towards assessment of employee comprehension Retention Goal: Develop and deploy retention strategies to retain our top talent Example: Developmental action plans with specific objectives and targeted timeframes for identified high potential employees
Leadership Development Goal: Ensure fairness in development efforts for ESRT leaders of the future and increase representation across all levels of leadership Example: Inclusive mentorship program Supplier Diversity Goal: Select diverse vendors and suppliers who are highly qualified and aligned with ESRT DEI strategy Example: Develop internal diverse supplier approach and tracking system across all departments
