HCSO Partners with the Morehouse School of Medicine, Other Prestigious Institutions on New Restorative Center
In a groundbreaking collaboration, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) joined forces with the Morehouse School of Medicine for the opening of the HCSO Restorative Center. The Restorative Center, conceived as a strategic support mechanism for the HCSO's recidivism initiative, underwent significant developments during this period. Eligible inmates are provided with opportunities to attain certifications in a variety of programs and classes that play a crucial role in preparing them for successful reintegration into society. At its core is the Pathway Forward Reentry Program , a six-week initiative tailored for eligible inmates within 180 days of release. This comprehensive life skills training program covers a spectrum of vital aspects, including personal development, job readiness, housing, transportation, and more. In addition to the Morehouse School of Medicine, the center's impact is amplified through collaborative partnerships with organizations such as Metro Community Ministries, Furthering Fathering, Southern Crescent Technical College, Atlanta Regional Commission, Worksource, and the Henry County Library System. Together, they create a supportive environment that empowers individuals on their journey toward rehabilitation.
