2023 TRAINING PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES $ 128,471.20 - Georgia Office of Planning and Budget- Public Safety and Community Violence Reduction COPS Grant (Shields and Breaching Tools) $1,000 - Association of County Commissioners of Georgia and Local Government Risk Management Services- Georgia Sheriff’s Association Online Driver Training Incentive Grant Program GRANT FUNDED INITIATIVES Grants were utilized for suicide prevention training, opioid overdose identification, and Narcan training, addressing critical community health concerns. The initiatives undertaken by the HCSO Training Unit reflect a deep commitment to community involvement, education, and empowerment. With ongoing dedication to addressing the evolving needs of Henry County, the HCSO looks forward to continuing its efforts in building a safer and stronger community. The HCSO Training Unit has undertaken innovative initiatives to enhance law enforcement training and empower citizens of Henry County. Under the leadership of Captain Marc Johnson , the Training Unit has implemented diverse programs aimed at fostering a safer and stronger community. The Training Unit also organized educational seminars aimed at empowering community members with essential skills and knowledge.
