Performing Arts Group Piano Lessons for Beginner & Intermediate Students
Specially designed for adult learners new to the piano and to the elements of music, this course teaches foundational and continuing skills in piano technique, music reading, music theory, and listening. Intermediate players will benefit from individualized attention this class provides. The class will occur in the new keyboard lab that allows students to work at their own pace. The lab also provides a unique opportunity for students of varying levels to enjoy making music together. JAMIE REYNOLDS is a pianist, keyboardist, and composer. After receiving a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto, he has toured extensively in the US, Canada, and Europe, has performed at New York’s top jazz clubs and at the Newport Jazz Festival, and has recorded the albums Time with People (2012), Counterpart (2013), and Grey Mirror (2017). Learn to Play the Violin Specially designed for adult learners new to the violin and to the elements of music, this course teaches foundational and continuing skills in violin technique, music reading, music theory, and ear training. The group class format also provides a unique opportunity for students to enjoy making music together, engage in group discussions, and support one another. No previous musical experience is necessary but you must bring your own instrument to class. MARK KUSHNIR performs as concertmaster of the Putnam Chorale Orchestra, principal 2nd violin of the Taconic Opera Orchestra, member of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, and is active in other area orchestras and chamber ensembles. Learn to Play the Cello Specially designed for adult learners new to the cello and to the elements of music, this course teaches foundational and continuing skills in cello technique, music reading, music theory, and ear training. The group class format also provides a unique opportunity for students to enjoy making music together, engage in group discussions, and support one another. No previous musical experience is necessary but students must bring their own instrument to class. AMYANWAR received a BM at the University of Iowa, a DMA in cello performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and an MM at the Cleveland Institute of Music. She has taught at City Strings in Manhattan and the Interlochen Arts Camp, where she was in residence with the Bird String Quartet.
