Conversational Spanish ¿Habla español? This conversation class will give you the opportunity to do just that! Discuss a variety of topics from current events, culture, travel, and other topics of interests generated by students. Besides speaking, improve listening skills as well as vocabulary and grammar with highlights that will be based on the class conversation as well as conversations between native speakers. Some differentiation is available, but participants should be comfortable with speaking and expressing themselves in Spanish. Intermediate to Advanced Conversational Spanish
Advanced Conversational Spanish Practice your Spanish in an informal
gathering. Each week’s conversation will center on a new topic, such as current events, magazine articles, colloquial expressions and other areas of interest to the group. Expand your vocabulary as you develop fluency in the language. This is an advanced speaking class. MICHELLE HAIEK (see bio for “Advanced Beginner Spanish”).
Class will focus on mastery of intermediate to advanced grammar and vocabulary through conversation and thematic discussions. This course is for students who have some experience studying Spanish in the past and are comfortable asking and answering questions in the past and present. Lessons are student-centered and focus on providing practice and deep dives into the language structure at the intermediate to advanced level on topics of interest to those in the class. SHAUN JOHNSON is a Spanish teacher at Heathcote Elementary School in Scarsdale. He has also taught at Scarsdale Middle School and Fox Meadow Elementary School.
