How Travel Books Can Bring the Rest of the World to You
BIf you’re lucky, you’ll get to enjoy some traveling during your lifetime. You may also have the opportunity to write about it. For the most part, though, we can’t travel to all the places we want to, and that’s where reading travel books comes in. These books are written in a way that help readers interested in visiting other parts of the world find out what they are really like through personal stories from people who have traveled there. These books can give us a glimpse into other parts of the world in a more detailed way. Travel books allow us to indulge our desire to travel the world, even when it must be done vicariously through the eyes and words of people who do the traveling for us.
For the armchair traveler who loves to read, certain travel books can satisfy their sense of wanderlust.
85 Sara Tyler, founder and owner of Nomad Publishing, loved traveling so much that she turned it into not only a business but a lifestyle for her family. Her company publishes travel books written by people who have traveled to various locations throughout the world and she does what is known as “worldschooling” for her children. “The really unique thing about my books is that they aren’t written by professional authors, but instead by normal people,” Sara explained. “And the travel is always off the beaten path and cultural immersive.
