Strength, Stretch and Balance Ann Young

Train to Run/Walk a 5K Sherry Nowell, Certified RRCA Level 1 Coach

Gain strength using hand weights in fun and creative ways in this chair aerobics class. Core training, balance exercises and flexibility are also included in this well-rounded program designed with modifications.

Start the New Year off right by committing to complete your first 5K race in the spring! The Dublin Community Recreation Center is offering a running/walking program to get you to the finish line. No experience is necessary. Build up mileage while building friendships among your fellow runners/walkers as you train for local races held in March and April. Sessions are held once a week at the DCRC where weekly discussion topics are presented and then runners/walkers set off for the mileage that day. Additional running/walking is required each week to ensure participants are prepared for their race. Registering for a race is not mandatory but if you put in the work, why not celebrate by crossing a finish line? Some of the weekly discussion topics include: Using a Training Plan, Rest Days, Running Shoes/Gear, Injury Prevention, Cross Training, Strength Training, and Races/Medals/Swag.

All exercises are performed off the floor using a chair for strength, if needed. No class Mar.19 & Mar.21 Class Date Day Time
