EXHIBITIONS HIGH SCHOOL PORTFOLIO MAY 18 - JUNE 8 Atrium Gallery, Petoskey CTAC’s High School Portfolio class is designed to mentor young creatives looking to pursue a future in art and design. This annual exhibition recognizes outstanding work created during the program at CTAC-Petoskey. HORIZONS: LANDSCAPES AND FIGURES BY ROBERT AND SUSAN PERRISH MAY 23 - AUGUST 31 Bonfield Gallery, Petoskey Husband and wife artists Robert and Susan Perrish have distinctly different artistic voices, but both painters take a romanticist approach to contemporary subjects. Idyllic rural scenes of Michigan and imaginative and fanciful figurative works intermingle in the gallery, encouraging viewers to see our world in new ways. MICHIGAN: AN AMERICAN PORTRAIT MAY 23 - AUGUST 31 Gilbert Gallery, Petoskey This exhibition re-envisions the PBS documentary film Michigan: An American Portrait as a dynamic interdisciplinary art exhibition. The show looks at the history, people, and natural environment of the state of Michigan as a way to explore relationships between place, identity, and the human experience. Original works of art by Michigan artists will be on display. AURAS OF TRAVEL: PAINTINGS BY DOROTHY MCGRATH GROSSMAN JUNE 15 - JULY 27 Atrium Gallery, Petoskey Auras of Travel celebrates the recent works of Northern Michigan artist Dorothy McGrath Grossman. Inspired by her travels, Dorothy captures the aura of the landscape in stunning detail. Her work immerses the viewer in the tranquility of rolling hills and expansive skies.
