BEAT MAKING CLASS February 15-April 25 | 5:30-6:15 PM | Code 2242.131 $150/$160 | New this year! Interested in making music like you hear on YouTube and in video games? Beat Making is an entry-level music production class for ages 12 and up; no experience is needed. This ten week course at the Chanhassen Recreation Center aims to teach students the basics of music production and beat making. Students must provide their own laptops. A limited number of computers can be supplied to those in need; contact Bach To Rock. PAINTING & POPCORN March 1 | 10-11:30 AM | $32 per canvas Code 2241.121 | New this year! It’s a painting event at the Chanhassen Recreation Center for ALL ages. Enjoy popcorn and create a unique 11” x 14” canvas painting portraying summer memories. No experience is necessary—three designs to choose from. Families are encouraged to come, and intergenerational participation is welcomed! Children ages 3-10 must attend with a grown-up. Groups can work together on one canvas or choose one canvas per person.
Registration for the Lake Ann Adventure Camp and Summer Discovery Playground Programs will open Friday, March 1, at 9:00 a.m. for Chanhassen residents and Friday, March 8, at 9:00 a.m. for non-residents. New in 2024, registration for these programs will be available online ONLY – there will be no phone or in-person registration. Waitlist registration will also be available online only with no phone or in-person registration. LAKE ANN ADVENTURE CAMP Kids ages 7-12 enjoy a week of exciting outdoor camp activities at Lake Ann Park, including swimming, boating, crafts, outdoor games, a giant slip-n-slide, fishing, and much more! SUMMER DISCOVERY PLAYGROUND PROGRAM Week of June 10-week of July 22 Kids ages 4-12 participate in games, activities, crafts, and more in two groups: the Tiny Mites (ages 4-6) and Dyna Mites (ages 7-12). Half-day sessions are scheduled once a week from either 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or 1:00-4:00 p.m. at different parks in Chanhassen. SUPER HERO PARTY March 8 | 5:30-7 PM | Code 2241.118 | $7 per person CALLING ALL SUPER HEROES! Help save the day at the Victoria Recreation Center. Come dressed as your favorite superhero, or make your own cape and mask here. Your young superhero can take flight in the bounce house, climb through a giant inflatable obstacle course, and celebrate with a photo shoot and dance party! This event is co- sponsored by the Victoria and Chanhassen Parks and Recreation Departments. Cost is per person attending the event (children under 1 are free). Participants are encouraged to pre-register but can also pay at the door.
