Healthy: Spring/Summer 2022

Team Registration Swimmers are able to register early for the team they were on in the 2021 season if registering as a “returning swimmer.” Swimmers and families wishing to change teams will need to wait until open enrollments to sign up for a different team. New team members (including siblings of returning swimmers) must either pass a skill assessment or provide information of previous swim team experience, prior to the online registration. Spots are limited and go very quickly.

New Swimmer Evaluations The Sea Dragons have minimum qualifications to participate in the program. If this is your first time joining the team, you are required to come to an evaluation at the DCRC or obtain an accepted reference from your prior team coach. At the evaluations, the coach determines if each swimmer is ready for swim team or if they need more personal and fundamental attention through either swim lessons or the youth fitness swimming class. Swimmers are able to “re-evaluate” if needed. References from prior coaches may be communicated to Lynn Bowers at lynnbowers86@gmail.com. Register for an evaluation today through the Sea Dragon website at dublinseadragons.org. Evaluations are held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on March 9 & 10 and from 1-3 p.m. on March 13 at the DCRC. When signing up for an appointment please include: • Prior swim experience • USA Swimming ID# if you are coming from another USA Swimming club • Age of the swimmer • Gender of the swimmer This information is used to help place the swimmer properly upon evaluation. Completing an evaluation DOES NOT save your swimmer a spot in the Sea Dragons program. Team Registration & Team Fees Registration begins Monday, March 7 at 7 p.m. for returning swimmers and begins Monday, March 14 at 7 p.m. for new swimmers who have passed their evaluations. • Returning Swimmers: Swimmers currently registered/swimming with Dublin Community Swim Team (DCST) for the 2021-2022 Short Course season and/or 2021 Long Course season. • Siblings of Returning Swimmers: Siblings of swimmers that are currently registered with DCST for the 2021-2022 Short Course season or were registered for 2021 Long Course season may also register for 2022 Long Course season during returning swimmers registration. Siblings of returning swimmers will be placed on waitlist status at the time of registration and will be moved to active/ registered status prior to new swimmer registration date, should space permit. • New Swimmers: Swimmers not currently registered/swimming with DCST for the 2021-2022 Short Course season or were registered for 2021 Long Course season will be able to register for the team during new swimmer registration. Waitlist status will be available for any full groups. You must register and pay your swim team training and booster fees through the Dublin Sea Dragons website at dublinseadragons.org. ** The DCST Team fee structure is posted on the DCST Booster website prior to the start of registration for the 2022 Long Course season. Mandatory Parent and Swimmer Meeting There will be a mandatory parent meeting in early April. Details can be found at dublinseadragons.org. Training Groups The team is organized into several practice groups based on age and ability. The coaching staff reserves the right to change group placement.
