The Culture Corner is on display at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, and content is shared digitally on the City of Dublin website and via social media. K.I.D.S. (Kids In Dublin Service) Children in grades K-5 are invited to join this volunteer team that teaches the importance of giving back to their community. This program inspires service with an intergenerational and community impact value. The Office Team Join us once a week or as often as you can to help with projects, data input, organization and other ways to keep your skillset sharp and our office teams supported. Program Assistants Assist instructors with classes at the Dublin Community Recreation Center on a quarterly basis. A great way to work with kids, seniors or adults to learn, grow and meet other members of the Dublin community. Our Senior Neighbors Join your neighborhood with an adjacent senior living facility by supporting correspondence, activities and inclusive, neighborly fun. Be a GREAT Neighbor If you would like to be connected with a senior citizen in need of assistance with their yard, running errands or with friendly check-ins, please let us know. We will be glad to match you with a fellow resident who could use a helping hand. You don’t need a formal volunteer program to do the right thing. Remember to reach out to those around you, offer a random act of kindness when you can, and get to know your neighbors, support your Dublin community with a spirit of service and giving! Go to DublinOhioUSA.gov/volunteer to learn more about these volunteer opportunities and to learn how you, your family, friends or corporate team can reach out and make a difference. Or, contact our Outreach and Engagement Team by calling 614.410.4404 or emailing volunteer@dublin.oh.us.

Ignite your community spirit by serving your community. Volunteering is more than a “nice” gesture. It’s a healthy habit that is a hallmark of Dublin’s character. We value the thousands of volunteers who come to our assistance and make an impact every day. Most of all, we look forward to hearing about project ideas and talents of our community members and partners. In the spring and summer months, the volunteer spirit is in abundance as the City of Dublin partners with the community to accomplish the following: Dublin Bicycle Ambassadors Adults who enjoy safe biking are trained as ambassadors to ride on shared use paths, assist with bicycling classes, report maintenance concerns, host group rides and serve as an overall advocate for safe biking. The Bluebird Team Keep Dublin’s blue bird population healthy and plentiful in parks and on public land by monitoring blue bird boxes and maintaining box standards. Dublin Heritage Interpreters Share your knowledge and love of history with residents and visitors who enjoy Dublin’s park system, specifically Ferris Wright Park. Keep Dublin Green Kits Park clean-up kits are available for groups looking to give back. The kits include trash and recycle bags, gloves, safety vests and even a scavenger hunt for kids. To reserve a kit, please complete THIS form and we’ll be in touch with next steps. The Giving Garden Spend at least once a week tending to, watering and harvesting the Giving Garden, a vegetable and herb garden at the Historic Coffman Homestead. All produce goes to the Dublin Food Pantry. Earth Day Plant, clear, clean up and join your fellow residents to celebrate the Earth during the month of April when we celebrate the growing season. St. Patrick’s Day Parade It’s back! The greenest, grandest day in Dublin could not happen without the help of a generous volunteer team to assist with parade balloons, carrying banners, monitoring for safety along the parade route and more. River Clean Ups and Water Quality Testing Healthy waterways are critical to our ecosystem, and volunteers are a big part of this effort. Join us for the annual Scioto River Clean Up on the third Saturday in August or help with regular water quality monitoring of our streams and waterways.
