WHEN IN WALES: YEAR 6 HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE OUTDOOR CENTRE

This year saw each Year 6 Form travelled to the Outdoor Centre in Wales during Lent Term for their residential trip. A group of boys in Year 6 have put together some thoughts on the various aspects of the trip, so read on to find out what they got up to.

“I enjoyed the train journey more than the coach journey because it was much shorter and had great views.” (Sam C)

“Packing was very exhilarating, as it was hard to fit everything that you needed into your suitcase and bag.” (Zain L)

“In Wales, one of the best evening activities was Bushcraft. We had lots of fun making pegs to put up a base.” (Ayan H)

“Everyone enjoyed their half day of canoeing. The lake was unbelievably spectacular!” (Tom A)

“When we went to the Llangorse Centre we did rock climbing. After we had done two or three courses, we finished the activity off by abseiling down the tallest wall in the entire centre, it was scary but fun!” (Ayan H)

“To all the boys’ excitement in 6J, we had a snowfall while we were at the Centre . We had snowball fights, a snowman building competition and a game we invented called ‘attacker versus defenders’. (Sam C)

“Horse riding was a highlight for many on the Wales trip, including me.” (Noah AK)

“The time at the Centre was amazing. Personally, I thought the food was the best part. We had a wide selection to choose from every day!” (Mark K)
