Disagree with Respect Wade into the complicated and difficult topic of interacting with others when we disagree with them. Using textual examples, discuss why people should treat others with respect and how to enter conversations that include trigger-laden issues such as religion, parenting, education, or diversity. Using NPR's show "This I Believe" as a model, find common ground in some core beliefs knowing that the goal is not to persuade others but to encourage respect for beliefs that differ from one’s own. TAMAR (TAMI) ARNOWITZ has a BA from Wellesley College and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She has also studied at Hebrew University and the Conservative Yeshiva and is a certified life coach. Supreme Court Roundup This lecture will review the leading decisions of the just concluded Supreme Court term and explore their likely impact as well as their implications for the direction of constitutional law. MARTIN FLAHERTY is the Leitner Family Professor of Law and Founding Co-Director of the Leitner Center for International Law and Justice at Fordham Law School. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, where he was Fellow in the Program in Law and Public Affairs. Professor Flaherty has taught at Cardozo School of Law, Columbia Law School, the New School, New York Law School, and St. John's University School of Law. Flaherty received a BA from Princeton, an MA. and MPhil in history from Yale, and a JD from Columbia Law School He clerked for Hon. John J. Gibbons, US.
