Essential Yoga Practice and refine your favorite foundational yoga postures and learn new ones in this active Hatha yoga class designed to improve flexibility, balance, and posture while increasing muscle and bone strength. Pranayama and deep relaxation will enhance the practice and help calm busy minds. Please bring a yoga sticky mat and two yoga blocks. LOUISE FECHER is a certified Hatha yoga instructor who has taught in Westchester for more than 15 years, helping students of all ages to safely build strength and increase flexibility. Gentle Yoga Practice classic and foundational yoga poses to increase strength and flexibility, improve posture and balance, and stabilize joints and bones. Class begins with students seated on chairs for warm-up movements and poses and progresses to a series of standing asana (no floor poses). Pose modifications are offered as needed. Class includes pranayama and deep relaxation techniques. Please bring a yoga sticky mat and one yoga block.

Learn how to assess and treat them with the MELT Method®, a science-backed system that rehydrates and repairs the body’s connective tissue. Use soft MELT tools and gentle compression
techniques to increase mobility, balance, and athletic performance, and reduce weakness, tension, and pain brought on by stress, overuse, and repetitive movements. Bring a yoga mat to class. Materials fee of $20 is payable to the instructor at the first class for a MELT large soft ball, a small soft ball, and a bunion band.
