Healthy: Spring/Summer 2024

Safety City We are taking a new approach to our Safety City camp offering for summer 2024. Instead of our traditional separate camp days for ages 5-6, the Safety City program is now scheduled to operate out of Week 4 of My First Camp (Ages 3-5) and Playground Adventure Camp (Ages 6-8). Safety City (awareness and preparedness) is the theme and curriculum component for both camps during week 4. With this change, we can serve more participants across a broader age range. As in past years, the Dublin Division of Police, Washington Township Fire Department and other local community guest speakers visit throughout the camp week to discuss safety awareness and preventive procedures. Camp staff also lead the group through various newly developed safety-themed activities that are developmentally appropriate for each age group. Campers receive a Safety City T-shirt and program completion certificate on the last day. If you are interested in registering for the Safety City experience in summer 2024, see the My First Camp (#311100.04) and Playground Adventure Camp (#321130.04) week 4 option on pages 18-19.

SPECIALTY CAMPS

Questions? Visit our webpage at DublinOhioUSA.gov/preschool- youth-teen-programs/ or contact Rachel Keitz, Recreation Coordinator, at rkeitz@dublin.oh.us. What is a Specialty Camp? Specialty Camps are opportunities designed for participants who want to focus on a particular interest and learn to master a skill—like a specific sport (i.e., tennis, soccer, baseball), STEAM, dance, art, academics, etc. Registration Policy: All Preschool, Youth, and Teen Specialty Camp registrations close seven days before the start of the first class. The 7-day closure window allows our team time to complete program logistics and communicate details with our participant families. Late registration requests are not guaranteed. Late registrations must pay the full program fee – no pro-rated rates are available. Health Care Forms : A 2024 online Health Care Form is required to participate in Specialty Camps. The Online Health Care Forms provide our staff with important details about your child and help us keep your child safe and secure while in our care. The information you provide us is mandatory and must be completed online NO LATER THAN 7 days before your child’s Specialty Camp starts. Parents/guardians are emailed Health Care Form information closer to the start date of the registered camp. This email is sent from a computer software system, Campsite Management - @ mail.campsitemail.com (no-reply email address - do not email this account). Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the email from Campsite or contact us for additional help. Camps Cancellation Policy: We understand that summer plans can change. The City of Dublin makes firm financial commitments to camp staff, field trips and program supplies each summer. Outside of priority registration, all camps and specialty camps canceled before May 17, 2024, will be refunded in full minus a $50.00 non-refundable fee per week per child. Cancellations made after May 17 will not receive a refund. Transfer requests made after May 17 will not be accepted. Special Accommodations Requests: Recreation Services promotes an inclusive policy for all of our programs. To discuss program options to best suit your child’s needs or interests, please contact Meaghan Campbell, Adaptive Recreation Coordinator, at mmcampbell@dublin.oh.us for an inquiry of needs to form an accommodation plan. An accommodation plan could carry over IEP/504 accommodations and must be completed before the start of the program.
