The Robot Academy camp focuses on building and programming robots. Students have fun with the famous Arduino LEGO Robot BattleBot
championship, where student-made robots “battle to the death.” With the help of world-champion robotics instructors, students learn to program BattleBots in Scratch programming language using sensors and logic. The BattleBot rounds are run until all campers have a chance to win. The robot is available for purchase so that the student can keep the robot that they built. Students also complete robot challenges to earn points to win trophies and reward their achievements. Award ceremonies are a fun celebration of the students’ talents. Instructors provide individual help to make sure all students win trophies and are happy campers. Optional purchase of your child’s completed LEGO Robot is available at an additional fee. The LEGO Robot purchase is separate from the DCRC program registration (see The Robot Academy’s Website at robot-academy.com for complete details).
