SPA SAFETY • Guests must be 16 years of age or older to use the Spa. • It is recommended that usage be limited to 10-15 minutes. RESPECT OTHERS • All guests must obey the instructions of the aquatics staff. • Guests experiencing open sores, infections or diarrhea are not permitted in the water. • Swim diapers are required for all individuals not toilet trained. Youth sizes are available for purchase at the front desk. • Swimsuits are the only acceptable swim attire. Guests with modesty concerns may wear covering garments that are clean and do not interfere with their safety or the safety of others. LAP POOL RULES • Aquatic staff may test the swimming competency of any swimmer at any time. Aquatics staff reserve the right to restrict non-swimmers’ use of deep water. • Hyperventilation and prolonged breath-holding are prohibited. • Fitness and aerobic equipment may only be used by guests 18 years of age or older. Children may only use equipment for its intended use and with direct adult supervision. Please return all equipment to the proper storage area. • Diving blocks are not permitted for general use. • The Lap Pool is for lap swimming and aerobic activities only. Please refer to the Lap Pool schedule for specific lane availability. Additional information and rules are posted in the pool areas. LAP POOL AVAILABILITY For individual lane availability, check the schedule posted in the lap pool or online at DublinOhioUSA.gov/aquatics/indoor-pools/ WATER FITNESS Schedules are available at the front desk of the DCRC and online at DublinOhioUSA.gov/recreation-services/aquatics/lessons/ To attend the classes, you must check in at the desk before going to class. Class slots are on a first come, first-serve basis. Class capacities are determined by the equipment used, available space and patron safety. You may swipe in for a class no later than 10 minutes after the class starts. The schedule and the back of your class pass indicates the class location. Leisure Pool classes are indicated in blue font LES and Lap Pool Classes are indicated in green font LAP . Please present your class pass to the instructor prior to class starting. DCRC GENERAL POOL INFORMATION Please note that throughout the week there may be restricted access to parts of the leisure pool due to our aquatic classes and programs. Please call ahead when bringing a group of 10 or more. Large groups that do not call ahead may be denied pool use. ADULT TO CHILD RATIOS The ratios listed below are established for the safety of all our young guests. Those not meeting the ratios are denied pool use. • All children under 5 years old must be within arm’s reach of an adult age 16 years or older who is in a swimsuit at all times. One adult supervisor is required for every two children in this age group. • All children ages 5-7 must be visually supervised by an adult supervisor age 16 years or older at all times. One adult supervisor is required for every five children in this age group. • All children ages 8-9 must be accompanied by an adult age 16 years or older in the facility. One adult supervisor is required for every five children in this age group. • All children wearing a flotation device must be within arms’ reach of an adult in a swimsuit at all times. • Large groups with children under age 10 must maintain a 1:5 adult- to-child ratio. PLAY SAFELY • Safety breaks are enforced 15 minutes before each hour. Adults 18 years of age and older may swim during this time. Children 2 years of age and younger may remain in the Leisure Pool during rest period within arm’s reach of an adult, in a swimsuit, at all times. Youth under 18 years old swimming laps must be in the lap pool before rest period beginning to continue swimming laps during the break. • No running on pool decks • Only small, round, soft sponge balls and soft, round inflatable beach balls are permitted • There is no diving permitted in the Leisure Pool or the shallow areas of the Lap Pool • No outside private swim lessons or coaching permitted • The following items and behaviors are not permitted in the facility: • Smoking, alcoholic beverages, food, gum or beverages, except water, glass containers of any type, squirt guns, inner tubes, torpedoes, mermaid SLIDE SAFETY • All riders must be a minimum of 42 inches tall to ride the slide. Riders between 42-48 inches tall must pass a Slide Swim Test in order to ride the slide. The Slide Swim Test assesses a swimmer’s ability to swim in a current. Please see the Pool Manager to request a Slide Swim Test. • Guests may not carry other guests up the slide steps. Riders may not wear shirts, goggles, eyewear or flotation devices. Riders must ride feet first, seated or lying down. Riders must exit the landing area quickly and without assistance. Guests are not permitted to catch other guests in the landing area. • The slide has restricted hours within our operating hours. For slide hours, please refer to our seasonal Aquatic Schedule on our website.
