How Money Works Learn more about personal finance.

Whether you are just starting out or looking to improve your financial skills, this program will provide information you need to make sound financial decisions. Topics include how to save money for short-term and long-term goals, how to invest your money wisely and avoid the high cost of waiting, the three “Ds” of investing, the Rule of 72, paying off debt and the effects of compounding (both good and bad!), the theory of decreasing responsibility, the power of tax-deferred saving, what is meant by the “time value of money,” important concepts and principles to protect your financial assets, why you need a financial plan, and why you should know your financial independence number. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.
