Ecstatic Dance for the New Moon Celebrate the new moon with the spiritual cleansing of a release dance. Spotlight the heart chakra moving through your intentions for the upcoming year. Through somatic meditation, release what no longer serves you and bring self- love and joy into your bodies and spirits. Class format will be a free-form guided practice with a great play list of music designed to get you out of your heads and into your heart space. Bring a mat, cushion or pillow, water and wear loose clothing or yoga attire. LAURA PRESKIN , LCSW, has a private practice specializing in holistic healing and integration work and also guides Ecstatic Dance, a free-form movement practice. Book Discussion and Workshop: The Way of Integrity (2021) by Martha Beck According to Martha Beck's 2021 book, The Way of Integrity, having integrity instills purpose, provides a path for emotional healing, and is the key to overcoming destructive patterns like people-pleasing and other self-sabotaging habits. This workshop combines lecture and discussion of Beck's key points with facilitated exercises for personal exploration with the option to share in a supportive group setting. Each session will cover two chapters of the book. Students are expected to come prepared to discuss the reading, do the work, and apply the book's insights toward their own personal development.
