Beginner Spanish ¿Habla usted español? Whether you are preparing for a trip to a Spanish-speaking country or want to learn this prevalent language, this class is for you! Course is designed for students with little or no previous exposure to Spanish. Learn basic grammar, practical vocabulary and expressions. Purchase of textbook may be required.
PATRICIA ALMANZAR is a Spanish teacher at Scarsdale High School where she combines her passion for linguistics and neuroscience by making learning as interactive and engaging as possible. MICHELLE HAIEK , a native Spanish and English speaker and US citizen living abroad, teaches ESL at Universidad Metropolitana (Caracas, Venezuela) with a focus on Literary Analysis and Academic English as well as Spanish to English speakers. Haiek majored in Modern Languages and has a postgraduate degree in Educational Technology. Advanced Beginner Spanish This class is for students who have an understanding of the present tense and reflexive verbs. Focus will be on the past, future, and compound tenses. Students will continue to learn grammar and develop their Spanish language skills. Students will also learn new vocabulary and sentence structure. Emphasis will be on developing students' written and verbal abilities. Purchase of a textbook may be required.
