hansgrohe – the bathroom pioneer since 1901

In 1901, Hans Grohe founded his metalwork business. He was a visionary, recognising the changing role of the bathroom in the home (despite it being a fairly new concept to most at the time).

The usage phase of our products offers the biggest CO2e saving

Our research shows: The usage phase of a hand shower is by far the most CO2e- intensive. This means around 1,000 times more CO2e is emitted when showering than during the manufacturing of the shower. We therefore plan to convert our entire portfolio of showers and taps to “ECO” by 2030. In specific terms, we are reducing the water and/or energy consumption of water- bearing products in usage by at least 22 percent (compared to 2020, the base year).

Fans of intuitive design can start, pause and stop the flow of water at the wash basin at the touch of a button. The Select push button simplifies routines such as shaving or brushing teeth and can also be operated using the back of the hand or an elbow.

Who actually likes cleaning? Limescale de- posits and dirt disappear in an instant with this technology. Simply rub the flexible silicone discs or nozzles with a finger. It’s fast and keeps cleaning to a minimum.

Unlike standard taps, which immediately consume energy when the lever is opened in the middle position, hot water only flows from this environmentally-friendly tap when the lever is actively moved. CoolStart supports reducing the use of resources, CO 2 emissions and cost.

In business projects, water and energy savings are important criteria for building certification, such as LEED or BREEAM. This is why hansgrohe has developed LowFlow cartridges, providing a water flow of only 3.5 l/min.

The sensor on this contactless tap acts like a motion sensor as it responds to changes in the infrared rays. Water only flows once it detects warmth from hands. This is economical and environmentally friendly, as well as contactless and hygienic.

The pull-out function on the basin tap expands the operating radius for maximum flexibility and simplified bathroom routines. The tap and pull-out spray are comfortable and intuitive to use, perfect for washing hair at the basin.

More elbow room when washing hands, a comfortable way to wash hair or just fill containers: The better the tap fits the space, the more flexible the options become. We call the area between the tap and the ceramics the ComfortZone because you can use it however you like.

The ComfortZone test – ensuring perfect synchronisation for the tap and wash basin

The higher the tap, the more flexible the space. However, if a wash basin and tap do not match up properly it can result in splashback. To avoid this, hansgrohe has developed the ComfortZone test. Carried out under realistic conditions, the test reveals just how well customers’ taps work in combination with conventional wash basins from leading manufacturers. How the ComfortZone test works:

1. Free space test Is there enough of a gap in the combi- nation of tap and wash basin? A test sphere is positioned between the tap and wash basin to check how easy and comfortable hand washing is. 2. Splash test Is there any splashing when the tap is turned on? The tap is opened and closed several times under different water pressures. Between tests, the splashes are analysed and the wash basin rubbed dry. 3. Practice test Is there any splashing when washing the hands? A standardised hand model is passed under the water spray and the splashes outside of the wash basin analysed.

As well as a choice of finishes, the furniture fronts are interchangeable and available with different inlays. You can choose your perfect combination today, and another finish will give your bathroom a completely new look.

SoftClose and PushOpen are functional features that make it easy to use the drawers and doors on the pedestal. The fingerprint-proof coating on the lacquered finishes of the carcase and laminate top ensures minimum maintenance.

Countless variations for a unique look

Customising Xevolos E gives you the freedom to design your own furniture. You choose the colour of the carcase, then the colour of the front, and the result will be just as you like it. For a matt lacquered carcase, you can choose between Matt Beige, Matt White or Matt Grey. High-quality fronts are available

in decorative wood, glass or ceramic. For a two-tone design, you can combine the 3 pedestal colours with Textured Bronze fronts in ceramic and Dark Oak fronts in wood. Or opt for a monochrome look by combining the carcase colour with the front in the same shade.
