Amgen has received U.S. FDA approval for LUMAKRAS ® (sotorasib) in combination with Vectibix ® (panitumumab) for the treatment of adult patients with KRAS G12C-mutated metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), as determined by an FDA-approved test, who have received prior fluoropyrimidine-, oxaliplatin-, and irinotecan-based chemotherapy. AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo has received U.S. FDA approval for Enhertu (trastuzumab deruxtecan) for the treatment of adult patients with unresectable or metastatic hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2- low (IHC 1+ or IHC 2+/ISH-) or HER2-ultralow (IHC 0 with membrane staining) breast cancer, as determined by an FDA approved test that has progressed on one or more endocrine therapies in the metastatic setting. Eli Lilly and Company has received U.S. FDA approval for Omvoh ® (mirikizumab-mrkz) for the treatment of moderately to severely active Crohn’s disease in adults. Omvoh is now approved for two types of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), following its October 2023 approval as a first-in-class treatment for moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) in adults. Novo Nordisk announced the U.S. FDA has approved Ozempic ® to reduce the risk of kidney disease worsening, kidney failure (end-stage kidney disease), and death due to cardiovascular disease in adults with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease (CKD).
