Julie Levine Assistant Vice President Major Gifts & Planned Giving

Maya Olimpio Marketing Project Co-ordinator

Julie, a strategic leader with extensive nonprofit and healthcare fundraising experience, joins The Cooper Foundation as Assistant Vice President of Major and Planned Giving. Previously, she launched a principal gifts program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and served as East Coast Director of Major Gifts for Hadassah. Her expertise will be invaluable in enhancing The Cooper Foundation's fundraising efforts.

Maya joins The Cooper Foundation as a Marketing Co-ordinator, bringing a strong foundation in marketing strategy, brand development and content creation. Her experience includes boosting engagement for hospitality clients, coordinating major events and leading social media campaigns. Maya is excited to apply her skills to elevate The Cooper Foundation’s mission and drive impactful community engagement.

Inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award for Journalism & Broadcasting Excellence – Presented at the 101st UNICO National Italian American Awards Gala, this award celebrates Sal’s exceptional impact on journalism and broadcasting. Record-Breaking Night: Nearly $4 Million Raised at the Cooper Red Hot Gala! PHILLY SPORTS COMMUNITY HEROES RON AND LIZ JAWORSKI HONORED . More than 1,000 guests gathered at the 14th Annual Cooper Red Hot Gala, celebrating a record-breaking night of philanthropy. The event raised nearly $4 million to support Cooper’s healthcare and community initiatives, with honorees Ron and Liz Jaworski recognized for their extraordinary contributions to the region. Hosted at the TRIAD1828 CENTRE, attendees mingled with NFL greats while enjoying a night of community spirit and generosity. Since its inception, the Red Hot Gala has raised close to $25 million, helping to fund essential health and wellness programs throughout South Jersey.

Ferraro Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation has donated $50,000 to support pioneering ovarian cancer research at MD Anderson The ongoing partnership between the Barbara T. Ferraro Ovarian Cancer

Research Foundation and Cooper reflects a shared commitment to improving lives and supporting groundbreaking research. With the gynecologic cancer program at Cooper being the largest and most experienced program in South Jersey, this collaboration not only honors Barbara T. Ferraro's legacy but also aims to pave the way for new therapies and improved care for women experiencing ovarian cancer.

Cancer Center at Cooper, bringing their total contribution to $100,000 this year.

This funding will advance crucial local research into the NRF2 and KEAP1 genes, which play a significant role in cancer cell resistance to chemotherapy and immunotherapy. By targeting these genes, researchers hope to find ways to enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy and immunotherapy to kill cancer cells.

Funded by a $341,000 opioid settlement grant, the van offers medical care, harm reduction, and support services. EMPOWERING YOUTH: OPERATION BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUCCESS Operation Back-to-School successfully provided thousands of backpacks filled with school supplies to students at KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy (KCNA) across four schools. Thanks to the generosity of Cooper employees, we aim to equip every student with a new backpack for the upcoming school year, fostering academic success and supporting Camden's youth. Your support truly makes a difference! "Our partnership with Operation Backpack supports families by providing school supplies, helping students overcome barriers and thrive," said Lisa Morina, Senior Vice President & Chief Philanthropy Officer at The Cooper Foundation.

BACKPACKS BRING BRIGHT BEGINNINGS TO CAPE MAY STUDENTS In August, The Cooper Foundation donated 100 backpacks at the CGC Love Center’s Youth Explosion event, helping students start the school year strong with the supplies they need to succeed.

Celebrating Young Readers: A Summer of Success in Literacy, Learning, and Community Engagement at St. Joseph’s Pro-Cathedral School! This summer, we proudly celebrated the achievements of our young readers at the Summer Reading Graduation Celebration at St. Joseph’s Pro- Cathedral School. The Cooper Learning Center, in collaboration with Cooper Behavioral Health, is dedicated to supporting local children and families through literacy programs. By extending our efforts beyond the health system walls, we are committed to improving learning and reading skills for K-4 students in Camden at no cost to families.
