BOXING’S OSCARS HIT THE BIG APPLE By The Ring Staff
THE RING AWARDS 2025 PRODUCED WORTHY WINNERS AT A SWANKY LOCALE, AS BOXING ROYALTY DESCENDED ON NEW YORK TO CELEBRATE THE BEST OF THE BEST
C ipriani 25 Broadway in Lower Manhattan, New York, is a spectacular location, mixing breathtaking architecture with versatile 360-degree projection to suit any occasion. What this lavish setting succeeded in doing on January 30 was to take on an iconic brand like The Ring and make it look even better during an unforgettable awards gala. Many of the finest pound-for-pound fighters in the world were in attendance: Oleksandr Usyk, Terence Crawford, Artur Beterbiev, Dmitry Bivol, Devin Haney, Katie Taylor, Claressa Shields and Mikaela Mayer. Those reigning or former champions rubbed shoulders with legends from the past, like Lennox Lewis, or were introduced to upcoming stars such as Emiliano Vargas, Ben Whittaker, Reito Tsutsumi and Pat Brown. The Ring was on hand – dressed to the nines – to speak to the award winners and gather their thoughts on being recognized by The Bible of Boxing for their outstanding contributions in 2025.
